When I opened Rags and Old Iron in December, 2002 I planned to sell fat quarters only, after all, I only rented 250 square feet. Then I found out that there weren't may vendors selling precut fat quarters so I'd have to buy bolts of fabric. One bolt led to another and here we are today with 2000 bolts, a 450 square foot classroom, authorized dealerships for Janome and Nolting, and ten employees. I have truly been blessed.

We sell only first quality fabrics and pride ourselves on the quality of our service to you. We are your center for creativity and education. Our employees are happy to share their knowledge and experience with you, whether on long-cherished techniques or on how to use the latest gizmo on the market. In additon, we teach basic sewing techniques, garment construction amd basic home decorating techniques and accessories.
